“Changing the image of Mumbai Police is my most important goal”, says Mr Hemant Nagrale, the new Mumbai Police Commissioner.
We’ve never seen a Police Commissioner himself sticking coded stickers on People’s cars,( which is now discontinued).But the message was through – Branding the Mumbai Police as “people-friendly”.“Changing the image of Mumbai Police is my most important goal”- he said.
People venturing out were scared of being beaten up by Police during the covid lockdown. Mr. Nagrale changed the entire approach: we saw the police requesting people to be indoors, asking reasons to moving out, no lathis, no rough up.
After the former Police Commissioner Param Bir Singh’s allegations of 100 crores extortion amount demanded by Maharashtra Home Minister, Mumbai Police needed a touch-up, a make-over.
Mr. Nagrale has investigated, contributed, to high-profile cases like the Harshad Mehta scam, Madhavpura Bank scam, Bank of India scam, MPSC paper leak, Telgi scam, always upholding the rule book, appreciated for his investigative work. A clean image.

MR.MANJUNATH SHINGE IS A POLICE OFFICER WHO DOES NOT KNOW THE BASICS OF CRIMINAL LAW. HE SHOWED HIS BASIC LACK OF KNOWLEDGE OF LAW IN OUR MEETING.IT HAS BEEN MORE THAN 15 DAYS AND MR. MANJUNATH SHINGE HAS NOT REPLIED TO MY EMAILS DESPITE ASSURING ME. MAY BE HE LEARNING TO WRITE IN ENGLISH.
