There are 7 Jumbo Covid Hospitals + 4 more nearly complete. Total around 30,000 beds available. 70% are oxygen beds. Around 3,000 ICUs. Covid Jumbo Hospitals to have in-house oxygen plants.

BMC Iqbal Chahal’s planning- “not to have even one death because of lack of Oxygen”. The installed capacity of 1200 MT of oxygen, increased the capacity of oxygen to 1700 MT. Absolute delegation of duties to ward level, with 24-hour Covid control rooms.

Apart from asking requirements from the center, giving suggestions to the center for shorter “turn arounds”. For Example- permissions to take oxygen tankers from Reliance Jamnagar which arrives in a day to Mumbai, rather than from Haldia West Bengal which takes 8 days
