First Rains bring muddied water for 2-3 weeks

Vinegaon is one of the 5 villages in Kalote Panchayat. Woman there travel 2-3 kms to get potable water.
When asked
Collector Raigad Nidhi Choudhary said, “there are no shortage of wells or the gram panchayat would have informed the CEO of Zilla Parishad. For Jal Jeevan mission, Govt approvals are required. Scarcity plan has to be prepared. I will work on this immediately to see water problem is immediately solved in Vinegaon. Will immediately send water tankers.
 
Member of Parliament- Shrirang Barne- his pa Uday Awate informed that the Tahsildar has been told to visit Vinegaon and report if there is shortage of potable water and necessary steps to be taken
 
Konkan Divisional Commissioner Mr Annasaheb Misal said, “Iam in Sindhudurg on official work at present but will follow up on this matter “.
 
MLA- Mahendra Sadashiv Thorve said, “that village Vinegaon comes on the border of my constituency, will inquire and do the needful”
 
Tehsildar of Khalapur Mr Iresh Chappalwar said, “Iam visiting Vinegaon with my team, If the adivasi women have to travel 2-3 kms for potable water, its wrong. Will inquire and get things done.
Dy-Sarpanch of Vinegaon , Mr Ganesh Dharpawar said, ” there is a no shortage of water, but we want bore-wells,on the plateau of the hill, the water comes to our village from Kalote dam, now it is muddied, not drinkable. we have wells on the shore of the Kalote river. First rains bring muddied waters, So the women go down the hill to fetch potable water. It lasts for 2-3 weeks
 
Mr Ganesh Dharpawar requested if “wells and bore-wells” could be constructed on the plateau on the hill, near the Mango Tree, on which Vinegaon resides. It would be of great help.
 

A proper on site inquiry would solve the problem as the administration is willing to give all support
