DCP Datta Nalawade ANC-Mumbai Police informed that a Nigerian has been arrested and drugs worth 9.5 lakhs seized from him. Accused Celestine Ajah age 35 yrs R/O Nalasopara Thane, Native place…village Animi, LGA, State Enugu, Nigeria. ANC Ghatkopar unit has recovered 60 grams MD and 35 grams Cocaine from him.
DCP Nalawade added that Drug menace in Mumbai City and suburbs were discussed with the Mumbai Police Commissioner and all senior officers. Based on tip-off, ANC Ghatkopar unit laid a trap and the accused was arrested from Mankhurd T junction, Sion-Panvel Highway, Mumbai.ACP Chikale and SR PI Ghatkopar unit Lata Sutar and team recovered the drugs from the accused and case was registered CR-54/2021 and the accused was taken on remand.
DCP Datta Nalawade informed MD is a dangerous synthetic drug which disturbs the blood flow, rattles the digestive system , induces depression and destroys the functioning of brain.
