DCP Narcotics Datta Nalawde: 37.5 lacs worth MD drug seized, Nigerian among arrested
DCP ANC- Anti- Narcotics cell Mumbai Police Datta Nalawde said, “37.5 lacs MD drug seized, Nigerian among arrested. The whole operation was carried out by Ghatkopar Unit of ANC, headed by Sr Police Inspector Lata Sutar and Officer Nilesh Bhalerao”.
Information was received that massive drug peddling was active in Sion-Panvel Highway. A trap was laid by ANC Ghatkopar Unit, Francis Augustin D’souza was picked up with 45 grams of MD- Mephadrone at Govandi, Sion Panvel Rd. Operation headed by Lata Sutar and Nilesh Bhalerao on interrogation got information and proceeded to Jui Nagar ST bus stand, Navi Mumbai, Sion Panvel Rd where they detained Nigerian named Richard Tony with 205 grams of MD.
Francis Augustine D’souza resides at Mankhurd and Nigerian Richard Tony was residing at Mira Rd, Thane. Offence was registered 58/21 u/s 8(k), 22(k) 29 of the NDPS act. MD also known as Mephadrone Meow Meow, White, Magic , M-cat
