Mumbai, DCP Datta Nalawade: Rs 1.2 crores worth Afghani Charas seized, 2 arrested
DCP Datta Nalawade- Anti Narcotics cell Mumbai Police informed that, ” Pure Afghani Charas worth Rs 1.2 crores was seized from Andheri east, Gaodevi dongar and two people arrested. The operation was initiated by Bandra Unit of Anti Narcotics cell. CR 59/21 registered and relevant sections of the NDPS act has been effected,”
DCP Datta Nalawade further informed that the Anti- Narcotics Cell Bandra Unit laid a trap after information was received that Drug Peddlars were supplying Afghani Charas to consumers from Andheri to Bandra . An operation having international ramifications. Subsequently a trap was laid at Gaodevi Dongar, beside Kalyan Gram Society, Andheri east.
Officers of the Bandra unit of ANC- Anti Narcotics cell, led by Police Inspector Sanjay Chavan, Bandgar, Bhoye, Karkar and other officers apprehended the two accused,

1)Moh. Jafhar abdul kalam siddique , Age -26 yrs Occ -service ,
Address- Solapur chawl, infornt of Osmaniya dairy , Gavdevi dongar, Andheri Mumbai
2) Samir Shabbir shaikh , 25 yrs , occ – Service ,
Further investigations are on, the Afghani Charas has come to Mumbai from Kanpur-UP.
