DCP Narcotics-Datta Nalawde: Rs 23.5 Lakhs MD and Cocaine seized from Mahim/Malad
Mumbai Police ANC- Anti Narcotics cell incharge-DCP Datta Nalawde said – ” Rs 23.5 Lakhs MD and Cocaine seized from Mahim and Malad, 2 people arrested out of which one is an habitual criminal with 5 cases registered against him at Malad Police Station. A man-hunt has been launched against Nigerian National who is the supplier. Both accused have been remanded to Police custody till 22/7/21.”
ANC- Anti Narcotics cell- Worli Unit headed by Mr Deepak Chavan and other officers Sudarshan Chavan, Vivek Kawle, Ravindra Sawant carried out the operation. The officers found Accused no 1 Nikhil Mahesh Malkarnekar Age 27 yrs Old. walking in a suspicious manner. When intercepted and inquired 70 grams of MD-Mephadrone was recovered form him. Investigation led them to Malad, Nadiadwala Colony where accused no 2 was arrested with 120 grams of MD and 15 grams of Cocaine.
ANC- Worli unit has launched a man hunt for the Nigerian National who is the supplier. Relevant sections of NDPS has been imposed . Accused no 1 is a habitual criminal with 4 cases of rioting and one case of Arms act against him in Malad Police station. Case 62/2021 has been registered. Further investigation on the way.
