Jitendra Awhad: CM Uddhav Thackeray- NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar to do bhumi-pujan of BDD Chawl redevelopment on 27/7/21

Minister for Housing Dr Jitendra Awhad said, “Mumbaikars dream of redevelopment of BDD Chawl, Bhumi-pujan ceremony of redevelopment of BDD Chawl will be held on 27/7/21, Chief Minister Mr. Uddhavji Thackeray’s auspicious hand and In the presence of Hon’ble Sharad Chandra Pawar . Will go down in history as one of Mumbai’s greatest development projects.

Dr Awhad had taken innumerable meetings in BDD Chawl. In a meeting in Mid June, with all the officers, BDD Chawl, N. M. Joshi Marg , He said, “most of the questions were answered in the affirmative and I was able to put a smile on their faces. I’m sure these projects will get underway soon.”

Mr Awhad added, “Many chawl-dwellers had to sell their houses in the chawl’s and buy houses beyond Thane to make a living. This is in my mind, BDD chawl’s will definitely develop.”

“I am looking at the development of BDD Chawl from an emotional point of view and not from a political point of view. Lucky are the people living in BDD Chawl. People living in 160-180 sq ft houses get 500 sq ft houses in the same place.” said Dr Awhad.

In a meeting with the families of retired Police officers, Dr Awhad had assured them that every resident of BDD chawl will not be disappointed , development plan is on and it is a great honour for the City of Mumbai and the Police officers who toiled for Mumbai that their project will start and their dream houses will be given to them
