Sameer Wankhede: NCB seizes Rs 17.5 lakh cash, Drugs, 3 History sheeters arrested from Jogeshwari
NCB Mumbai in its continuous fight against Drug Suppliers and Peddlers in Mumbai, NCB Mumbai launched an operation at Jogeshwari (E), Mumbai and seized 1.2 Kgs of Charas (Commercial Quantity), intermediate quantity of Mephedrone alongwith cash Rs. 17.5 Lakh on intervening night of 24 & 25.07.2021 and intercepted 03 persons. Interrogation of the said accused is going on.
Case details:
On reliable information, a team of NCB Mumbai mounted surveillance at Jogeshwari (E) and intercepted three persons namely Sameer Mukhtar Sayyed @Sam Langda, Zakir Sayyed @ Zakir Takla @ Zakir Chikna & Md. Amed Shamsuddin Shaikh and seized 1.2 Kgs Charas, intermediate quantity of Mephedrone alongwith cash Rs. 17.5 Lakh on 25.07.2021. At the time of interception Zakir tried to jump from 1st floor but he was intercepted by NCB officers after jumping.
Sameer Merchant @ Sam Langda is a notorious, organised drug Mafia. He is specially challenged person. In the garb of being Specially Challenged , he was running his notorious drug trade. Sam Langda is wanted in NCB Mumbai Crime No. 57/2021. In that case, NCB Mumbai seized a total 15.1 Kgs of Charas (Hashish) along with Cash Rs. 4.40 Lakh and arrested 05 persons. Sam Langda was running an Cartel which was consisting of various drug peddlers and criminals under his command.
NCB Mumbai had received lot of complaints from Residents of Jogeshwari (E) regarding drug activities of Sam Langda and his activities involving children in drug trafficking.
Zakir Takla is history sheeter criminal. He was earlier booked 02 cases NDPS cases in 2010 – 10 Kgs Charas and 2016 – 250 grams by Anti-Narcotic Cell (ANC), Mumbai. He is wanted in NCB Case No. 24/2021. In that case, NCB Mumbai seized a total 2.029 Kg Mephedrone alongwith cash Rs. 1,15,500/-, huge quantity of foreign currency, two luxuries vehicles and arrested 03 persons namely Shahrukh Khan @ Shahrukh Bullet, Shadab Farooque Shaikh @ Shadab Batata and Ajaz Khan.
In this regard NCB Mumbai has registered the case in Crime No 71/2021.
