Sameer Wankhede: NCB seizes Rs 18 lakhs cash, 184 grams MD, 3 arrested from Jogeshewari in two operations
NCB Mumbai in its continuous fight against Drug Suppliers and Peddlers in Mumbai, NCB Mumbai launched 02 operations in various places of Mumbai and seized 183.4 grams of Mephedrone (Commercial Quantity) along with cash Rs. 18,00,000/- on 29.07.2021 and intercepted 03 persons including 01 lady. Interrogation of the said accused persons is going on.
OPS-I:
On specific information, a team of NCB Mumbai raided Chawl at Amina Nagar, Idgah Maidan, Meghwadi, Jogeshwari East and intercepted one person namely Abrar Khan & seized 80 grams of Mephedrone in his possession along with Cash of Rs. 18 lakh from his house search on 28.07.2021. He was supposed to deliver MD drugs to someone at near his residence at Jogeshwari East. On personal search a packet containing MD drugs of weight 80 gram was found .In the follow up the house search of accused was done in which cash of Rs.18 lakhs was found. Further investigation is under process.
Abrar Khan is history sheeter criminal in Meghwadi area. Abrar Khan is having Police cases registered at Jogeswari Police station & Santacruz Police Station in the year 2006 & 2009 u/s 302, 324 and 326 of IPC. He uses minor children for trafficking of drugs i.e. Ecstasy, Corex, Mephedrone, etc. at Meghwadi area.
NCB Mumbai registered the case in Crime No 72/2021.
OPS-II:
On reliable information, NCB Mumbai busted a drug cartel which was run at one Three Star Hotel at Andheri (E), Mumbai and seized a total 103.4 grams of Mephedrone (Commercial Quantity) on 28.07.2021 and intercepted one lady who was the peddler of the wanted suspect Jai Prakash Bhatt. In follow up operation on 29.07.2021, NCB Mumbai intercepted one person namely Rohan Pandey from Marol Naka.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that the said lady accused is engaged in drug distribution, consumption and other illegal activities. Further investigation is going on.
NCB Mumbai registered the case in Crime No 73/2021.
