DCP Crime Datta Nalawade: extortion attempt of 50 lakhs on Doctor crushed- “Lal Salaam organization”
Mumbai Police : DCP Crime Datta Nalawade informed that Unit 12 of the crime branch crushed an extortion attempt of 50 lakhs on a doctor from Shri Clinic, Goregaon Dr Vadilal Lakhamshi Shah, Sr Citizen having clinic at Goregaon. Case has been registered CR 520/2021 u/s 387, 506(2). 3 people are arrested, including a women. The organisation they represent is called “Lal Salaam”
ACCUSED NAMES WHO HAVE BEEN ARRESTED ARE –
1. BHAISHAKHI BISWAS(GHANSOLI. VASHI.)
2.MODH HAYAT SAHA.(SQUARTER COLONY)
3.VIKRANT SUBHASCHANDRA KIRAT.(VIRAR WEST.)
On 15/9/21 in the evening a Burkha clad , gave a sealed envelope to a relative of the doctor, who runs a chemist shop , near the Clinic. The sealed envelope was opened at the family gathering in the evening , wherein there was letter form “Lal Salaam” organisation, signed by S K Madore, asking for extortion amount of 50 lakhs or a physical attack on Doctor and family.
The Crime Branch Unit-12 , headed by ACP Nitin Alankure, Mahesh Tawde, Vilas Bhosale, Sachin Gawas. Atul Dahale, Balasaheb Kanawade, Vijay Raskar, Ashish Shelke, Khanvilkar laid trap and arrested all 3 accused
