Mumbai Police DCP Narcotics Datta Nalawade informed that 225 grams Cocaine drug worth Rs 67.5 lakhs & Rs 2.1 lakh cash seized, 2 arrested including Journalist. The operation was affected by ANC- Anti Narcotics Cell Bandra Unit. Case registered 86/2021 under various sections of NDPS Act. Further investigations are on.
ANC- Anti Narcotics Cell Bandra Unit Sr PI Chavan, with Police officers Bandgar, Powle and others on getting specified information detained a person moving in a suspicious manner. On frisking him found 105 grams of Cocaine on him and Rs 2.1 lakh cash on him. The person was arrested and details revealed that he was associated as a journalist with a Hindi weekly. He was identified as Mohammed Nouman Qureshi from Bhendi bazar, Mumbai.
His thorough investigation led them to laying a trap in Bandra and arrested one Tanzanian named Yakub Macho Nagawila @ Mashaka . 120 gram of Cocaine was recovered from Mashaka. The Tanzanian was residing at Taloja Navi Mumbai.
Cocaine use include being malnourished, because cocaine decreases appetite, and movement disorders, including Parkinson’s disease, which may occur after many years of use. In addition, people report irritability and restlessness from cocaine binges, and some also experience severe paranoia, in which they lose touch with reality and have auditory hallucinations—hearing noises that aren’t real.
