DCP Narcotics Datta Nalawade: Rs 21.6 crores worth Heroin originating from Rajasthan held, total Heroin worth 44 crores seized this year
Mumbai Police, DCP Narcotics Datta Nalawade informed that Rs 21.6 crores worth Heroin originating from Rajasthan was caught at Wadala truck terminus, Sion Koliwada. Case 93/21 has been registered . One women Ameena Hamza Shaikh has been arrested. Heroin weighing 7.2 kgs has been recovered from her. She has been remanded to Police custody. This is one of the biggest catches in Mumbai.
Mumbai Police ANC Anti Narcotics cell has been getting information that Heroin originating from Prata[gad, Chittorgad- Rajasthan has been entering the city through Trains and Buses. A trap was laid under leadership of Sr PI ANC Ghatkopar Unit Ms Lata Sutar. The Lady Ameena Hamza Shaikh @ Lalli was arrested with 7.2 kgs of Heroin worth Rs 21.6 crores.
Since begining of 2021, The Anti-Narcotics Cell has registered 8 offences of Heroin, arrested 9 persons out of which 3 are big suppliers from Rajasthan. A total of 16 kgs of Heroin worth 44 crores have been seized this year alone
