Sameer Wankhede strikes drug peddlers in Nanded, HC restrain on Nawab Malik
Sameer Wankhede- Zonal Head- Mumbai NCB informed that NCB had struck Drug Peddlers in Nanded District of Maharashtra. Whereas After a division bench of the Bombay High Court took strong exception to NCP leader and Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik’s tweets and public statement. Malik undertook not to make public statements against them till December 9. Justice Kathawalla observed, “He is a Minister, does it befit him to do this”.
NCB Mumbai in its continuous fight against Drug Suppliers and Peddlers in Maharashtra, NCB Mumbai launched an operation at Kamtha, Distt- Nanded and seized a total 111 Kgs of Poppy Straw (Commercial Quantity), 1.4 Kgs of Opium, Cash Rs. 1.55 Lakh along with 2 Nos grinding machine which are used for grinding of Poppy Seeds, Electronic Scale & note counting machine on 22.11.2021 and intercepted 03 persons.
Case details:
On a specific information a team of NCB Mumbai raided three shops located at Kamtha, Nanded and busted clandestine drug unit . During the operation, the following drugs & machineries were seized from this illicit clandestine unit – total 111 Kgs of Poppy Straw, 1.4 Kgs of Opium along with Cash Rs. 1.55 Lakh, 02 Nos grinding machine which are used for grinding of Poppy Seeds, Electronic Scale & note counting machine on 22.11.2021 and intercepted 03 persons.
NCB Mumbai registered the case in Crime No 99/2021. Further follow up action is underway.
