Mumbai Police -DCP Anti-Narcotics Datta Nalawade informed that Rs 14.4 Lakhs worth Codeine Phosphate-3600 Corex cough syrup bottles seized , brand name EMCOFF, one arrested. Case has been registered CR-99/2021 under various sections of NDPS act. Further investigations are on.
Operation headed by Sr PI Anti Narcotics cell Ghatkopar Unit Ms Lata Sutar assisted by Officers Farid Khan, Pawle, Bhalerao, Chikne and other. Acting on a tip off they intercepted one Mohammed Arshad Mohammed Akram Shaikh found 120 bottles in his possession. Further investigations led them to place at Room No 34, 4th floor, Nasim Manzil, Dongri, South Mumbai, where total 3600 bottles of Corex Cough syrup brand name Emcoff were seized.
