DCP Narcotics Datta Nalawade: Seized Narcotics Drugs- Azad Maidan Unit, worth Rs 14.66 crores destroyed following Court procedures

Mumbai Police DCP Anti Narcotics Cell  Datta Nalawade informed that seized Narcotics Drugs by Azad Maidan unit worth Rs 14.66 crores were destroyed following Court procedures. The Narcotics Drugs were taken to Central Warehouse and from there after approval of drug Disposal committee approval following Court procedures were burnt by waste management team at MIDC Taloja, Raigad.

The following drugs were disposed of

1] Marijuana- worth Rs Rs 5.22 crores

2] Charas – worth Rs 14.1 lakhs

3] Cocaine worth Rs 1 lakh

4] MD- Mephedrone worth Rs 31.2 lakhs

5] Heroin – worth Rs 14.9 lakhs

6] Amphetomine- worth Rs 8.4 crores

7] Codeine Syrup worth Rs 42 lakhs

8] Coir 125 kgs

The Drug Disposal Committee headed by Jt CP Vishwas Nangre Patil, Add CP Crime Viresh Prabhu, DCP Anti Narcotics approved and oversaw the operations. The Central Warehouse officers included Officers Sandeep Kale , Ashok Tapase and others
