Speculations are rife in Bollywood and in the South Indian Film Industry that Deepika Padukone will be sharing screen space with Mahesh Babu in SS Rajamouli’s next.
Despite no official on this news however sources claim that discussions are in progress under closed doors between the RRR maker and the Gehraiyaan actor.
It is well known that Rajamouli is making a globe-trotting adventure with the Maharshi actor, and the former’s father, veteran writer KV Vijayendra Prasad is working on the script reportedly based on a real-life event. The yet-untitled film will be Deepika’s second magnum opus from the south.
At present Deepika is working on Nag Ashwin’s Project K with Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan.
Interestingly, when there were reports of Rajamouli’s next with Mahesh first it came to light it that Rajamouli would repeat Alia Bhatt after she played Ram Charan’s leading lady in RRR.
Though the Mahesh-starrer is slated to go on the floors around mid-2023, wonder if the makers opted for Deepika since Alia is expected to take a maternity break from the movies.
