Very recently, Meenakshi was spotted at the Singing Realty Show Indian Idol Season 13 as a Guest with Judges Himesh Reshammiya, Neha Kakkar and Vishal Dadlani and host Aditya Narayan.

Notably there was news that Meenakshi Seshadri told Rajkumar Santoshi, Writer-director of Damini that she was “Damini” but it was Sunny Deol’s dialogues that were more famous to make Damini block-buster and an awarding film.

The film featured Meenakshi Seshadri as a righteous woman who fights for the justice of a rape survivor, even if it means going against her family, husband, and in-laws.
Ironically, Meenakshi did not receive a single award for her power-packed performance in the 1993 released film “Damini”. Even today Meenakshi regrets for it.

I remember having met Meenakshi at her residence soon after the release of Damini to write about her for her power-packed portrayal as Damini. The award giving institutions were unfair to Meenakshi for having not found her worthy for an award despite of the film centered on her.
