* Lata Mangeshkar, Queen of Melody, moved to immortality on 6 February due to pnemonia. and Covid-19. The legendary singer was recognised for her distinctive voice and a vocal range that extended over more than three octaves. Her career spanned eight decades, and she recorded songs for the soundtracks of more than 2,000 Indian films.

*Bappi Lahiri, eminent Music Director and Singer who gave to the industry big box office hits not only in Hindi Cinema, but also in Bengali, Telugu, and Kannada movies. His songs remained popular well into the twenty-first century. He passed away on February 15, 2022.
