UP CM Yogi Adityanath meets Bollywood Film Fraternity, offers 50% subsidy to shoot Web Series Films in UP
In the backdrop of Hindi cinema playing a crucial role in uniting the society, and amid presenting Uttar Pradesh as a film-friendly state, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday invited prominent Bollywood Film Fraternity to explore Uttar Pradesh as a destination to shoot their films.
Amid his interaction with some of the Bollywood Film Fraternity in his State, the Chief Minister made it known that his Government has made two the film fraternity members as MPs on knowing the issues faced by Bollywood Filmmakers and what needs to be implemented.
The CM added that Cinema plays a crucial role in uniting the society and preserving the unity and sovereignty of the country.
Adityanath, who is visiting Mumbai to promote an investor summit to be held in Lucknow next month, elaborated that Uttar Pradesh has emerged as a film-friendly state and this has won recognition at the National Film Awards and the International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
Besides safe environment, the northern state has good connectivity he added.
The CM further asserted that under his government’s film policy,on filming a web series in UP, 50 per cent subsidy will be given. Likewise, 25 per cent subsidy will also be given for setting up studios and film labs.
Renowned Filmmaker Boney Kapoor, Ravi Kishen, Gorakhpur Lok Sabha MP and actor, Bhojpuri actor Dinesh Lal Nirhua, playback singers Sonu Nigam, Kailash Kher, actor Suniel Shetty, filmmakers Chandraprakash Dwivedi, Madhur Bhandarkar and Rajkumar Santoshi, represented Bollywood at the event.
