Moscow Goa Chartered Plane lands in Jamnagar amid Bomb threat in flight
An apparent bomb threat forced the tourist Moscow Goa Chartered Flight for an emergency landing at Jamnagar Airport with 236 passengers and 8 crew members on board at around 9.49pm.
All the passengers reportedly were safely de-boarded at the airport. The crew assisted the security agencies while they undertook screening of the aircraft. The Bomb Disposal Squad were rushed to defuse the bomb.
Meanwhile the aircraft is under isolation.
The Chartered Flight Boeing 757-2Q8m, with number ZF2401, departed from Moscow’s Vnukovo Andrei Tupolev International Airport at 9:55 am (Coordinated Universal Time) and was scheduled to land at Goa’s Dabolim Airport in at 9:49 pm (Indian Standard Time).
News comes to the fore that the Air Traffic Controller recieved a mail, which mentioned of a bomb on board the Moscow-Goa tourist flight and
High alert was sounded and the pilots were immediately contacted and informed.
Later, the flight was diverted to Jamnagar, where it made a safe landing.
An investigation into the case is underway.
