Swati Maliwal DCW Chief urges police to register FIR against trolls of Virat Kohli MS Dhoni’s daughters
Trollers happy on social media, not only target Bollywood Celebrities on social media, but now they are also targeting cricketers. This happens when the home team loses be it on international grounds or home.
Apart trolling players for their poor performance and losing the tournament they also abuse the family members of the players in utter disappointment.
Recently, trollers targeted cricketer Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni’s daughters Vamika and Ziva respectively.
This has not gone down well with the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) Chief Swati Maliwal. On Wednesday taking to her twitter account, she asked the Police to register FIR against the trolls of cricketer’s daughters.
Reportedly, Mailwal posted two blurred screenshots of the social media posts and wrote, “Some accounts are making nasty comments by posting pictures of daughters of two big players of the country Virat Kohli and Dhoni on Twitter and she fumed how can someone utter nasty words on a 2-year-old Vamika, Kohli’s daughter and 7-year-old Ziva, Dhoni’s daughter. How can abuse someone if you dont like them? She added.
Notably Vamika, Virat and Anushka’s daughter turned two year recently. While some fans of the celebrity’s wished the kid through their twitter, ridiculously few of them trolled her.
Earlier in 2020, an Instagram user had sent rape threats to MS Dhoni’s five-year-old daughter Ziva. The disturbing incident happened following Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeat against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Abu Dhabi.
Later, the Gujarat Police detained a 16-year-old boy from Mundra in Kutch for allegedly issuing rape threats to Ziva.
Stringent action need to be initiated by the concerned authorities against the trollers.
