Governor of Maharashtra?
News comes to light that former Chief Minister of Punjab Captain Amarinder Singh who has joined hands with BJP is touted as the next Governor of Maharashtra replacing Bhagat Singh Koshyari who has tendered his resignation.
The existing Maha Governor resigns because of the Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj row and a controversy had risen.
When Prime Minister Narendra Modi was in Mumbai to commission the Mumbai Metros and other projects, he spoke to the PM and expressed his desire to resign and to be freed from all political responsibilities and spend the rest of his life in reading, writing and other activities.
Along with this, he also told the PM that It was an absolute honor and honor for him to serve as a state servant or governor in the land of a great state like Maharashtra, saints, social reformers and brave soldiers.
Not only this, a Raj Bhavan statement also revealed the 80-year-old Koshyari often clashed with the previous Maha Vikas Agari government led by Uddhav Thackeray.
