News comes to light that in a sudden development, Ekta Kapoor mother Shobha Kapoor have stepped down from
Balaji Telefilms Limited and
Alt Balaji OTT this day, Friday, 10.
Source at Balaji reveal that Vivek Koka, reportedly, has taken over as Chief Business Officer of Alt Balaji.
Armed with the press release Ekta Kapoor shared a message for the team of the OTT platform ensuring her support with whatever comes next.
No sooner Ekta shared the post, her friends from the film industry started to send her good wishes.
Sonam Kapoor commented on her post –
“You’re the best .. love you.”
Sussanne Khan too wished Ekta with a comment that ‘greater conquests my friend full power to you and Balajii to grow bigger and stronger under the new team’.
A part of the team’s official announcement read.that the process of stepping down started last year,
Ekta’s decision to step down seem to be a strategic one to focus on foraying into other ventures.
The note further revealed Vivek’s vision reading that Under Koka’s leadership, Alt Balaji aim to follow their footsteps and continue its strong track record of delivering high-quality, original content to its audiences.
Meanwhile even as Ekta and her mother Shobha Kapoor step down , it remains to be seen what changes are brought on to the content and other strategies of the platform.
