Godrej Properties acquire Legendary Bollywood Showman Raj Kapoor’s Deonar Bungalow

After acquiring the Legendary actor Filmmaker Raj Kapoor’s R.K. Studios in Chembur way back in May 2019, from the Kapoor family to develop a premium mixed-use project Godrej RKS, Godrej Properties have now acquired the Showman’s Chembur Deonar
Bungalow at Farm Road, Chembur, adjacent to Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Chembur. The land reportedly was purchased from the Kapoor family, legal heirs of Raj Kapoor.
The site is located at Deonar Farm Road, Chembur, adjacent to Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).

Mumbai: Godrej Properties Ltd on Friday said it has acquired legendary film actor, director, and producer Raj Kapoor’s Bungalow at Chembur in Mumbai to develop a luxury housing project.
The land was purchased from the Kapoor family, legal heirs of Raj Kapoor.The deal value has not been in discreet.
The project is expected to be delivered this year.

Meanwhile, Gaurav Pandey, MD and CEO, Godrej Properties exoressed his gratitude to the Kapoor Family, for handing over both RK Studios and the late Showman’s Deonar Bungalow to add them to their portfolio.

Pandey further adds that the project will allow them to further strengthen their presence in Chembur.

Whereas Randhir Kapoor makes it known that the Chembur’s residential property has been of great emotional and historical significance to the Kapoor family and feel happy to once again associate with Godrej Properties to take forward this rich legacy for the next phase of development for this location. Godrej Properties, a part of the business conglomerate Godrej Group, is also one of the leading real estate developers in the country.

It has a significant presence in Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), Delhi-NCR, Pune and Bengaluru.
