Actor Sonu Sood honoured for humanitarian services
In a rare gesture a Hyderabad based out restaurant ‘Gismat Jail Mandi’ honoured Bollywood actor Sonu Sood for his noble deeds by naming India’s biggest thali after him in Hyderabad.
Recalling the honour done to him, Sonu Sood, who turned messiah of common man amid the COVID-19 lockdown, was devoid of words to express his gratitude to the owners of the Gismat Jail Mandi restaurant. honored by a Hyderabad restaurant recently.
On Sunday 19 February, taking to his Twitter account on shared a couple of pictures with the huge thali saying he feels humbled.he is ‘humbled that “India’s Biggest Plate is now named after him.
Although being a vegetarian, who eats little food can’t have a plate on his name that caters to 20 people at a time.
According to the restaurant’s founder Gautamy Choudary, the plate is named after Sonu Sood since the actor is blessed with a ‘big heart’.
Infact, Sonu Sood often makes headlines for his philanthropic work. In Telangana, a temple has been dedicated to the actor.
Notably, amid the COVID-induced lockdown, Sonu Sood aided thousands of migrants to return to their hometown, helped people in arranging beds, injections, medicines and vaccines, and even provided food and essentials.
The actor’s Sonu Sood’s upcoming projects include
a pivotal role in Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar-starrer ‘Samrat Prithviraj’. He will next be seen in an out-and-out action drama ‘Fateh’.
Meanwhile, Sonu has pledged ₹1 crore towards scholarship for cybersecurity enthusiasts.
