Kanak Rele Classical Dance Exponent passes away at 85 of cardiac arrest
It is saddening news of the passing away of renowned classical dance exponent Kanak Rele passes at 85 of cardiac arrest on 22 February.
Hema Malini and Sudha Chandran also authority in dance forms, shared their condolences on the passing away of Kanak Rele.
Kanak Rele was recognised as one of India’s renowned Mohiniattam dancer and winner of Padma Bhushan,Padma Shri
Sangeet Natak Akademi Award
Kalidas Samman, Gaurav Puraskar, Kala Vipanchee and
M. S. Subbulakshmi Award.
She was the founder-director of the Nalanda Dance Research Centre and the founder-principal of the Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya in Mumbai and was always active.
