Subi Suresh Malayalam actor and TV host passes away at 41
Following the passing away of renowned Malayalam film director Joseph Manu James, yet another sad news emerges in the death of popular Malayalam actor, television host and stage-show performer, Subi Suresh. She breathed her last at a private hospital in Kochi Kerala. She was 41 and was reportedly under treatment for liver-related ailments for some time.
Recognised for her slapstick roles, and spontaneous on-stage dialogue delivery, Subi had a massive fan following among audiences on small and big screens.
Her journey to the entertainment industry began as a mimicry artist in the Cochin Kalabhavan troupe and as an actor with the Malayalam film Kanakasimhasanam.
Later, she gradually carved a niche for herself in the Male dominated comedy shows on stage and in television.
In a short span of time, emerged as an inevitable presence in the live stage shows, organised by various television channels, and won the hearts of audiences through her hilarious avatars in famous TV series like Cinemala.
She also proved her mettle as a successful TV host on various channels. Subi has essayed small but memorable roles in over 20 films, including Elsamma Enna Aankutty and Happy Husbands.
She is survived by her parents and brother. People from various walks of life expressed shock over the unexpected demise of the actor-anchor. She had won a place in the hearts of Malayalis through reality shows and comedy programmes. She is a promising artist and had a great future ahead.
