South Super Star Suriya shifts to Mumbai buys luxury home for whopping Rs.70 crores
News comes to the fore that South’s Super Star and Singham fame Suriya has permanently moved from Chennai to Mumbai, the ‘Mecca’ of Bollywood films.
The super star has purchased a luxury apartment in Mumbai for a whopping Rs.70 crores.
Sources reveal that his new home has a built up space of 9,000 sq.ft in a gated community, a home to top Bollywood celebrities and polticians. The family also own garden space and parking facilities for several cars.
Sources also reveal that Suriya has acquired the contract for parking space at the Mumbai airport and also has invested in other businesses in the city. He is currently producing the Hindi remake of ‘Soorarai Pottru’ featuring Akshay Kumar and plans to produce more films there as well. Film industry analysts feel that the above moves by Suriya clearly indicates that he and his family are settling for good in Mumbai and will operate from here.
Notably, Suriya is credited as one of the top leading superstars of Tamil cinema much respected for his acting skills and dedication towards his art. The varied characters that he emoted in films such as ‘Nanda’, ‘Mounam Pesiyathe’, ‘Pithamagan’, ‘Perazhagan’, ‘Ghajini’, ‘Ayan’ ,’Mayavi’ and ‘Jai Bhim’ have been acclaimed by both critics and fans.
Suriya was honoured with the prestigious civilian award, the National Award for Best Actor for Sudha Kongara’s ‘Soorarai Pottru’. At present he is portraying ten roles in the Siruthai Siva directorial ‘Suriya 42’ produced by Studio Green and U V Creations in which he shares screen space with Bollywood’s social media influencer and actor Disha Patani.
On the personal front Suriya is married to actor Jyothika and is blessed with two children Diya and Dev and the couple’s production house 2D Entertainment is named after their children. Diya is pursuing higher studies in Mumbai.
Suriya’s upcoming movies apart from ‘Suriya 42’ are Vetrimaaran’s ‘Vaadivaasal’ and a project in Telugu and Hindi each that will be officially announced in the coming months. He also will be starring in films by Sudha Kongara, T.J. Gnanavel and Lokesh Kanagaraj in the future.
