Following her Koffee With Karan episode in 2018 Koffee, fans s assumed Karan and Priyanka Chopra might have patched up.
However, her latest appearance on Dax Shepherd’s podcast, on which Priyanka spoke on getting bullied in Bollywood and having ‘beef’ with some people in the industry, reignited the controversy.
Priyanka Chopra had worked with Karan Johar in Agneepath and Dostana.
On the podcast, Priyanka attributed that she was being pushed into a corner in Bollywood and had people not casting her, she had beef with people. She admits she isn’t good at playing that game so she was tired of the politics and needed a break.
This caught the attention of Bollywood’s Controversial Queen Kangana Ranaut. She went on to tweet that Priyanka was clearly speaking on Karan Johar and this is what priyanka chopra has to say on Bollywood people ganged up on her, bullied her and chased her out of film industry – a self-made woman was made to leave India. It’s a well-known fact that Priyanka was banned by Karan Johar.
After Kangana’s tweet surfaced many wondered what really went wrong amid Karan Johar and Priyanka Chopra.
The feud was in April 2012 and around the time that rumours of Priyanka’s affair with Shah Rukh Khan were circulating. Karan, being Shah Rukh’s and his wife Gauri Khan’s best friend, was trying to ‘push’ Priyanka out of the scene. Later, one of Priyanka’s friends in an interview to an English Daily exposed Karan’s inhuman treatment towards the actor.
It was at a recent party, while Karan was feeding her cupcakes, she heard rumours of Karan bitching Priyanka. It indeed was very hurtful. It was also believed that a powerful clique of star wives was behind the anti-Priyanka stories.
Priyanka never did anything wrong. If these women are insecure on their relationships with their husbands, they should sort it out with them, at home. Why should they attack her?”
Discomposed at the story against him, Karan took to Twitter to share some fiery tweets sans naming anyone using their hired PR machinery and hiding behind ‘friends’ to hit the headlines in tabloids is nothing but spineless and lame. Some people need to wake up and smell the KOFFEE!!! Get a reality check before it’s too late!!! Grow up!!! and don’t mess with goodness….,” he further added.
However, in September, Karan in his interaction with the media claimed that all was well between him and Priyanka, and there is absolutely no problem between them, adding both have had an extremely good professional and personal experience over the years and hope it continues that way.
