Ramnavami ends in tragedy in Muslim domain Malvani 20 persons nabbed
Ramnavami procession amidst DJ in Malvani, a Muslim domain in Malad West sparked violence. Some elements objected to the loud din of DJ.
A clash ensued between the two groups and stones were pelted that caused panic in the area. A large number of police personnel were deployed in the area and the situation was brought under control.
Senior police officials of Malvani Police Station and some local political leaders rushed to the spot and appealed for peace.
Police have nabbed 20 persons on the charge of rioting. As per police reports process is underway to place them under arrest.
Following the incident, a right-wing organisation supporters assembled outside the Malvani police station and demanded action against those who allegedly pelted stones.
