Actor Deepali Sayed, Shiv Sena member accused over connect with Dawood Ibrahim by ex-PA
Former PA to actor Deepali Sayed, Shiv Sena member accuses her over connections to Dawood Ibrahim.
Baburao Shinde, Sayed’s former PA, has been charged with violating provisions of the Indian Criminal Code 506 (2) (criminal intimation), 500 (defamation), and 509 (word, gesture, or act intended to offend the modesty of a woman).
According to Oshiwara Police Actor Deepali Sayed approached the police station to file a complaint against her former personal assistant claiming that he threatened to kill her and tried to smear her by asserting that she had taken Pakistani citizenship, owned properties in Dubai and London, and had connect with the underworld in both Dubai and Pakistan.
As per Police report they have charged Baburao Shinde, Sayed’s former PA, for violation of Indian Criminal Code sections 506 (2) (criminal intimidation), 500 (defamation), and 509 (word, gesture, or act intended to insult a woman’s modesty).
It comes to light that on April 4, Shinde held a news conference in Ahmednagar and allegedly presented a number of accusations against Sayed.
In her complaint, Sayed has brought to light that Shinde claimed that she had links with the underworld. Told him her real name was Sofia Sayed and that she had accepted Pakistani citizenship. He claimed that she had made a fake passport to stay in India and even had a bank account in a Pakistani bank. He even said that she owns properties in London and Dubai and also threatened to kill her. Additionally, Shinde said that Sayed had defrauded people while acting on behalf of her charitable trust, which had organised a large-scale wedding. According to the complaint, he asserted that everything was done merely to raise money for the trust.
According to Deepali, he had taken her photographs with a choreographer, morphed it by swapping the face of the choreographer with Iqbal Kaskar, Dawood Ibrahim’s brother, and claimed that she had links with Dawood. And that’s precisely why she lodged a case against him.
Shinde was fired after it was found that he had taken a woman’s audition for a Marathi film without her consent and or knowledge.
For the unversed Deepali Sayed is an actor and predominantly works in Marathi film industry. She made her debut in1990 with popular Marathi serials Bandani and Samantar and has appeared in more than 30 Marathi films. She is married to Bobby Khan.
In the 2014 elections, she campaigned for Aam Aadmi Party from the Ahmednagar constituency and in 2019, she switched over from AAP to Shiv Sena.
Sayed completed her studies at a private school and graduated from CVR College of Engineering, Nalanda College Bihar.
