For those unversed, Neetu turned down the offer to play Preity Zinta’s mother due to Rishi Kapoor. Eventually, Jaya Bachchan replaced her.
Neetu Kapoor made a comeback to films with Imtiaz Ali’s Love Aaj Kal in 2008, where she was seen with husband Rishi Kapoor. This was after a hiatus of 26 years. However, she could have made her comeback much before, hadn’t she rejected Nikkhil Advani directorial and Karan Johar produced film” Kal Ho Naa Ho.
The film, featured Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta, with Jaya Bachchan in a pivotal role as Jennifer, Preity’s mother in the film.
