In an interaction with the media recently, Shabana Azmi recalled the late show up on set by Sanjeev Kumar and Shatrughan Sinha.

Sanjeev Kumar would show up on set 5 hours late, whereas Shatrughan Sinha for a 2 pm shift would show up at 5 pm.
for 2 pm shift’. Fed up of the late show up of the two actors Shabana Azmi recalls complaining to her mother about it. She had to wait for her
male co-stars to show up on set. At that time around she was working in 12 films and was at the peak of her career and was working two back-to-back shifts used to feel exhausted waiting for the arrival of her two male co-stars.
She also recalled that her mother and Waheeda Rehman’s advice about the matter always stayed with her.
