The latest news comes to the fore that of marriage of actor Mahie Gill with long-time beau Ravi Kesar in behind-the-scenes ceremony.
Mahie herself confirmed of the marital bliss between her and Ravi.
The two actors reportedly had shared screen space in the 2019 series “Fixerr” and have been in a relationship for over a decade. It is learnt that the marriage was solemnised amid a private ceremony. The “Dev D” actor Mahie is currently based in Goa, where she lives with her husband and daughter, Veronica.
Mahie Gill has always been very quite on her private life.
In 2019, she surprised everyone by making an announcement that she had a daughter who was two-and-a-half-year-old.
It isn’t the first marriage for
Mahie. Very few are versed that Mahie Gill got married while in her teens, ironically, the relationship ended in a divorce. She was only 17 when she got married. Her parents were against it but she wouldn’
t listen. She recalls that at one point of time, both she and Ravi realised they were not meant for each other and parted ways. Nevertheless, she had no regrets in life.
Punjabi actor Mahie Gill was born on December 19, 1975 and hails from Chandigarh.
Not many are aware that Mahie is armed with a Masters degree in theatre from Punjab University. Named Rimpy Kaur Gill, she is the only girl in her family. Though she belongs to a Jat-Sikh family, known to be very conservative, it was her confession that she never had to to face any restrictions, be it regarding her career or personal choices. Since she only had brothers around her, Mahie has been raised just like a boy.
She is known for her power-packed performances in Dev D, Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster and Paan Singh Tomar but as per Mahie Gill, she had no inclination to emerge as an actor, however, she is thankful to God that whatever she is doing and have done in the past, she has won people’s appreciation for her work. Hence she just dared and faced the screen.
