Air India pilot violates airline rules invites woman friend into cockpit
In total disregard to aviation rules an Air India pilot invited his woman friend into the cockpit of the Dubai- Delhi flight and ordered the crew members to serve food and drinks to him inside the Cockpit of the airliner.
Reportedly, the pilot not only allowed the woman passenger inside the cockpit, but also asked crew to serve them food and drinks inside. Both his actions stand in violation of strict safety rules set down by India’s aviation regulator DGCA.
According to news reports, the pilot invited his female friend, a passenger on the same Air India flight, to enter the cockpit shortly after take-off on February 27. The woman remained inside the cockpit for the major portion of the Delhi to Dubai flight. A crew member later filed a complaint with Air India
As per the complaint, the pilot on flight AI 915 Dubai-Delhi sector had sked the crew to serve his friend food and drinks that are served in business class. Indian laws allow food and beverages to be served inside the cockpit but under strict guidelines. All cups, for example, must be covered with a lid to avoid spillage.
