For Aishwarya Rai Bachchan movies come and go but Aishwarya, but her character ‘Nandini’ in ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ will remain etched in her heart. It’s something special for her because she plays ‘Nandini’ in the Veteran Mani Ratnam directorial’ Ponniyin Selvan 2′.
It’s been 23 years since ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ released, but it still remains fans’ all-time favourite because of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Bhaijan Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn’s
inspiriting performances and of course Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s vision.
Notably, Aishwarya plays Nandini once again in her career with Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’.
On Tuesday, Aishwarya attended the Mumbai promotional event for veteran Mani Ratnam directorial ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’.
While interacting with the media personnel Aishwarya mentioned that it’s a beautiful coincidence and amazing too. aisa hua bhi hai. In fact, yes As Nandini in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam she left an indelible mark with her performance as ‘Nandini’ and won the hearts of not only her fans but also the cinegoers.

It’ merely a blessing for her for getting to play a character, a memorable ‘ in two films of two veteran filmmakers.
It is also a tremendous blessing that she got to play such strong woman, such layered woman and woman with character that touches the lives of several women out there.
Aishwarya shares a double role in Mani Ratnam’s two-part period film, and she plays the role of Nandini and Oomai Rani in the film. Ponniyin Selvan 2 hits the theatres on April 28.
