Singer Shaan transforms into actor with Sharman Joshi Shriya Saran in “Music School”

After enthralling the audience with his melodious voice as a singer in Hindi films, Shaan dons a new avatar as an actor. He makes his debut with Sharman Joshi and Shriya Saran in filmmaker Paparao Biyyala’s upcoming musical ‘Music School’.

With new aspiring talented singers emerging through singing realty shows such as Indian Idol, singers like Shaan dont seem to be getting much singing assignments. This has prompted him to step to the acting arena.

Shaan has recently recorded an original song in the film that is set to be released this week. He plays a Key role in the film.

The trailer of ‘Music School’ which was unveiled in Mumbai not only offers insights into the musical adventure that unfolds in the film but also piques interest with the glimpses of Shaan on screen as a singer
and actor.

Notwithstanding the actor has faced the camera earlier for his unforgettable music videos and multiple cameos over the years, ‘Music School’ marks his first film as an actor playing a Key character.

Articulating his enrapture and indebtedness, Shaan reveals when he first began working on a song for Music School, he had no idea he would end up starring in it as well. It so happened that when he was recording the song, the director of the film Paparao Biyyala felt he would be the perfect match for the character they were looking at and proposed the idea to cast him. Shaan had an idea of the story as he was recording the song, but when Paparao narrated the script he instantly went on board.

Shaan further went on to articulate that it was an extremely wonderful journey he embarked upon in shooting for the film, which was majorly shot in Goa and added to the beauty and lively experience. The Singer is extremely thankful to Paparao for giving him this opportunity and making him a part of his passion project.

According to the filmmaker
Paparao Biyyala, Shaan is not just a brilliant singer but also an effortless actor.

Paparao Biyyala shares, they were looking for a flamboyant, energetic and lively person for the character but had no luck in finding the perfect match. He then spotted Shaan recording one of the songs from the film, he was so excited and happy, he was literally dancing while recording and he immediately felt he found his guy. Shaan
most importantly is a wonderful person. His positive aura and charming attitude convinced him to cast him in Music School.”

Shaan has recorded an original song in the film that is set to be released this week and he plays a pivotal role in the film which also stars Shriya Saran, Sharman Joshi as the lead along with an ensemble cast comprising of respected and experienced senior actors as well as a bunch of talented new comers as child artists.

Notably, “Music School” is a musical narration of the sensitive and prevailing concern of academic pressure subjected to young students by the society, parents and teachers. With eleven songs in the film, three of them have been recreated from
“The Sound of Music”, situationally and beautifully woven in the film to suit the sensibilities of the Indian audience.

The “Music School” an IAS Paparao Biyyala directorial and produced by him employs an ace team of technician.

The cast includes Shriya Saran, Sharman Joshi and Prakash Raj in leading roles in addition to debutant Ozu Barua and Gracy Goswamy in critical roles. Other cast comprises Benjamin Gilani, Suhasini Mulay, Mona Ambegaonkar, Leela Samson, Bugs Bhargava, Vinay Varma, Sreekanth Iyengar, Vaquar Sheikh, Phani and many other child actors.

‘Music School’ is slated for May 12 release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
