Nora Fatehi joins ‘Calm Down’ singer Rema amid his concert in Mumbai
Notwithstanding the hot summer night in Mumbai, the 23 year old Nigerian Singer Rema, ‘Calm Down’ fame charged up the audience with his electrifying performance on Saturday. The singer gave an infectious performance and lured the crowd to sing along with him.
The singer came on stage to perform at an open-air stadium at around 10 pm. The performance went on till midnight. Videos and pictures of his performance soon went viral on social media.
Actor and dancer Nora Fatehi not only attended the concert but joined Rema on stage and made him dance to the beats of her hit song “Naach Meri Rani” The widely popular single is sung by Guru Randhawa and featured Nora Fatehi’s killer dance moves in the music video.
Before taking to the stage the duo exchanged pleasantries in the vanity van on their mutual love for Indian and African culture and music and their individual contribution to the Afrobeats industry.
Over her media interaction Nora said, “Rema’s show was truly spectacular and she enjoyed herself thoroughly on stage. He’s such a talented artist with such a warm vibe and collaborative spirit.
Being a North African, it’s such a proud moment for him to witness how the Afrobeats and dance movement has become a mainstay in India now.
“It*s amazing to witness how Afrobeats, just like Indian music, has become such a massive movement worldwide and it’s a moment of joy for me since I’ve been largely associated with the genre for a long time.”
The Nigerian singer Rema aka Divine Ikubor, shot to fame with the 2020 track Dumebi, visits India for three-city tour. The tour, titled Rema Calm Down India Tour, is part of the artiste*s Rave & Roses world tour and was kicked off in New Delhi on May 12, followed by Mumbai on May 13, and subsequently, Hyderabad.
