The Kerala Story enters 100-Crore Club Sudipto Sen director reacts
Even as the film was embroiled in controversy, yet the Sudipto Sen directorial “The Kerala Story” earned Rs 100 crores in the first week of its release.
When he was approached by the media for his reaction, Sen says, that he feels extremely happy but has definitely not gone overboard with pride and confidence. He has many more stories to tell and he doesn’t want success to go into his head and rest on his laurels.
He was very much aware of the film’s success. He has put in seven years on the project and knew its potential.
He told the media that a lot of the cynics are asking why The Kerala Story is only on the radicalization of women and not men?
Sudipto, reacts, it was always meant to be a story of three friends who happen to be women. It wasn’t a planned strategy. Now some producer has offered him a project as a sequel to The Kerala Story on the radicalization of boys.
Sudipto also throws light on producer Vipul Shah who credited him as “creative director” in The Kerala Story. “He served as co-ordinating force among several teams of creative people who worked on the project. The team was diverse and there were a number of difficult locations. Vipul da made it all possible when it came to this movie.
