In a bizzare episode, Muslim Men Nashik’s Trimbakeshwar Temple and Offers ‘Chadar’.
Amidst taking note of the incident, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who also holds the Home Ministry portfolio in the Maharashtra government, ordered an SIT probe into the incident.

In a video clip, five to six people can be seen trying to enter the temple carrying green scarves. They were, however, not allowed to enter the temple premises
Taking stock of the incident, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who also holds the Home Ministry portfolio in the Maharashtra government, ordered setting up of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) for a probe into the alleged attempt by the group to force their way into the famous temple in Nashik.
The office of Fadnavis in a statement said an officer of the additional director general (ADG) rank will head the SIT.
“Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis has ordered strict action by registering an FIR on the alleged incident of a certain mob gathering at the main entrance of the Trimbakeshwar temple,”
The SIT will not only conduct a probe into this incident, but will also investigate a similar incident which took place last. year at the same temple. A group representing certain community had entered the temple Fadnavis said in the statement.
Reacting to the incident, as per Chief Minister Eknath Shinde it is the responsibility of the administration to maintain law and order but people must also cooperate. People from every community must come forward and maintain peace
Trimbakeshwar Temple Trust has also written to Nashik Commission of Police demanding action against the group for trying to enter the temple.
As per Nashik Inspector General BG Shekhar the situation is under control and peace has returned in and around the Trimbakeshwar temple.
Meanwhile Trimbakeshwar Police Officials ensures that there is peace and there’s no problem in the law and order situation. We will proceed with investigation as per the rules and regulations initiate further action on that basis.
