Anushka Sharma beams with joy on Virat Kohli’s second IPL ton against RCB in Bengaluru
Actress Anushka Sharma’s joy knew no bounds when hubby Virat Kohli scored his second ton in the seventh IPL match against Gujarat Titans at the
M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday 21 May.
Many people were under the impression that Kohli’s T20 cricket is declining. After the end of the match Virat Kohli explained that he doesn’t feel like that at all. On the contrary he thinks he is playing his best T20 cricket again.
Infact, it was Kohli’s ton that brought victory to Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was responsible to end the 20 over match to197-5 against holders Gujarat Titans on Sunday and keep the team on track for the IPL play-offs.
With his 7th IPL century, Virat Kohli surpassed Chris Gayle and emerged as the player with the highest number of centuries in IPL history. As a batter, Virat raised his bat in the first ball of the final over to depict his excellence and prowess.
The former India captain hit an unbeaten 101 in the final group match with Bangalore needing a win to book their spot in the final four. He hit 13 fours and a six.
Kohli makes it known that he looks to hit gaps, hit a lot of boundaries and then the big ones towards the end if the situation allows him to.
He adds “You have to read situations and rise up to the occasion when the situation demands. I feel really good with my game at the moment and how I’m batting.”
Meanwhile, Anushka Sharma was in Bengaluru to cheer for hubby Virat Kohli as RCB and was seen blowing kisses towards Virat Kohli after he break the record of maximum number of centuries in IPL which was held by Chris Gayle of West Indies.
Earlier, following Virat’s century in the Royal Challengers Bangalore versus Sunrisers Hyderabad IPL match, he picked up the phone and video called Anushka from the field. Videos and photos of their interaction were circulated all over social media, as fans cheered for their favourite couple.
Virat Kohli, who made a match-winning 100 in Bangalore’s previous game, moved to second in this season’s IPL batting chart with 639 runs behind his skipper Faf du Plessis, who made 28 in a 67-run opening stand with the superstar cricketer.
