Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu Charges whopping ₹10 Crore For Citadel
News comes to the fore that actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu, currently shooting for Citadel in Serbia, has charged a whopping ₹10 Crore for the series.
Raj and DK, who helm the series had worked with Samantha in ‘The Family Man’ Season 2.
For the uninitiated, Citadel is the Indian version of the spy thriller created by the Russo Brothers which featured Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden in lead roles.
Reports reveal that Samantha who charged ₹10 for the series shares screen space with Varun Dhawan.
Earlier Samantha confirmed that she will play Priyanka’s character Nadia Sinh’s mother in the show. The international and Indian versions of Citadel are set in two different eras. Priyanka’s character will only be seen as a child in Samantha’s Citadel.
Few days ago, it was reported that Samantha has given her nod to film scenes in which she will be seen kissing her co-star Varun. However, Samantha and Varun as well as the makers are yet to react to the reports.
Samantha had also earlier clarified that her upcoming spy-action extravaganza is not a remake of Priyanka’s show, quashing misconceptions surrounding the nature of the Indian adaptation.
While speaking on the show, Samantha earlier quoted that when Prime Video, Raj and DK approached her with this project, she decided to take it up in a heartbeat!
After working with this team on The Family Man, it was a homecoming for her. The Citadel universe, the interconnected storylines amidst the productions across the globe, and most importantly, the script of the Indian installment really excited her and she feels elated to be a part of this brilliant universe conceptualised by the Russo Brothers’ AGBO.
She is as well looking forward to working with Varun for the first time, on this project. He is someone full of life and cheer when around him.
The release date of Citadel’s Indian version is awaited.
Meanwhile reports also reveal that while in Serbia, the Citadel Duo Samantha Ruth Prabhu-Varun Dhawan grooved to Oo Antava At A Club.
