Monsoon arrived in Mumbai on Saturday and in mere 1 hour in the evening flooded the Andheri subway and Santacruz Milan Subway. Traffic were diverted and Pedestrians were warned not to use the subway.

The flooding on most of the roads left commuters stranded for hours.

While the rain was a blessing in disguise from the rain God after the Mumbaikars weren’t able to bear the scorching heat and cheered the welcome dip in temperatures, others marveled at the pace with which the city had become inundated.

And this happened on the first day first hour. What was bewilderingly is even Flyovers were flooded.

Infact, some roads in Mumbai on Saturday looked like a swimming pool in an hours rain.

Every year the crores of tax payer’s hard earned money gets washed away in the name of ‘Nulla Safai’ by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.

Same story every year. People have to move in Neck-deep water. Most of the vehicles -private, public transport, have to run their vehicles in heavily flooded water.

Although every year prior to the arrival of the monsoon, the Civic Body ensures of non-flooding on roads and Flyovers, nothing happens leaving people to suffer. The State Government need to wake up and pull up the responsible ward officers for deleriction of duty.
