Rahul Kanal Aaditya Thackeray’s close aide to join Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena

Another jolt to the Thackerays as Rahul Kanal Aaditya Thackeray’s close aide is to join Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena.

This new development comes at a time when Aaditya and other Sena (UBT) leaders plan for a mega protest march to the BMC headquarters in South Mumbai.

Rahul Kanal had earlier quit the Yuva Sena core committee’s WhatsApp group hinting that he is upset with the functioning of its panel.

Notably, Rahul Kanal is a known face in the Bandra area and considered to be close to Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya since the Yuva Sena was formed over 10 years ago.

In 2017, reportedly, Kanal was appointed as a trustee of Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust (SSST), a temple trust of Sai Baba in Shirdi, and was also a member of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) education committee.
