Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT) will back the central government’s push for a Uniform Civil Code (UCC), sources told India Today.

Sources reveal that after AAP, Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena (UBT) will back the central government’s push for the Uniform Civil Code.

According to Sanjay Raut, the party’s line of thinking has always been to have a UCC but the final decision will be made after the draft has been made.

UBT Sena leader Anand Dubey also said whenever the bill is tabled, the party will support it adding that senior party leaders will decide how they will navigate the waters with other opposition parties on the UCC issue.
