Ajit Pawar puts off usual Pune visit, determines to stay in Mumbai
In the backdrop of his rebellion from uncle Sharad Pawar,
Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has determined to stay in Mumbai instead visiting Pune and Baramati, in the wake of his rebellion from uncle Sharad Pawar.
Infact, for weekend, Ajit Pawar usually visits Pune and Baramati.
Reportedly, Ajit Pawar was scheduled to attend
NCP leader Appa Renuse’s
award ceremony event on Saturday, but, preferred to stay away from the programme.
According to Pradeep Deshmukh who was appointed as working President of the city unit by Ajit Pawar, Party workers were eagerly waiting for Ajit dada’s visit to Pune as many of them desired to felicitate him for his new responsibilities. He will soon visit the city and meet party workers.
However, a A NCP leader, a Sharad Pawar loyalist, requesting anonymity said that he shares good relations with Ajit Pawar and have known him for the past two-three decades. Even when he was in a position in the state cabinet, he would ensure that he visited the home district. However, the situation is different now. After he rebelled, he founded it mentally tough for him to visit Baramati.
A leader from Ajit Pawar faction affirmed that although, tnrough Sharad Pawar he would go to the public rather than having a legal battle, he has already started one. To counter the legal battle, it is best if Ajit dada remains in Pune for the next few days.
Though Ajit Pawar remained in Mumbai, another minister from Pune district Dilip Walse-Patil visited the city on Saturday. He will visit his assembly constituency on Sunday and meet party workers at Manchar- Ambegaon.
