PM Modi to clinch deal for 26 Rafale naval jets amid his visit to France
In the midst of his visit to France from July 14-16, PM Modi is foreseeable to clinch deal for procuring 26 Rafale M aircraft and three additional Scorpene submarines.
These deals are anticipated to be announced amid PM Narendra Modi’s visit.
The defence procurement board (DPP) cleared the deals on Monday.
The deals, worth approximately Rs 90,000 crore, comprises 26 Rafale M aircraft, entailing 22 single-seater and four double-seater trainer versions. As per top government sources, the three additional submarines will be part of the Scorpene deal under Project 75.
