Legend Amitabh Bachchan works for Free for his make-up artiste’s Bhojpuri film ‘Ganga’
In a rare gesture Amitabh Bachchan worked for free in his make-up artiste Deepak Sawant’s Bhojpuri film since his original long time makeup artist Deepak Sawant turned producer with the Bhojpuri film ‘Ganga’.
As per Bhojpuri actor Manoj Tiwari Amitabh Bachchan gave his time and shot for Ganga without charging any money because his make-up artist Deepak Sawant was turning producer with that film.
Amitabh Bachchan has been working in the movies since the 1960s and in the early 2000s, Bachchan worked in a Bhojpuri film titled Ganga, which was produced by his make up artist Deepak Sawant. In a recent appearance on Aap Ki Adalat, Manoj Tiwari, who also starred in the film with Ravi Kishan, recalled the incident and said that Amitabh did the film without charging any money.
Manoj said that he received a call in the last few days of the shoot where Bachchan asked him to play a cameo in the film, despite the fact that Ravi Kishan, who was a Big star in the Bhojpuri industry, was featuring in the film. He laughed and said, “The film was made but to sell it at a better cost, if the producer comes to him that you come and work in it for two days, how is that an actor’s fault?”
Tiwari further recalled that Amitabh Bachchan called me.
It turned out to be big day for him . Amit ji called me and said Manoj give us two days. Deepak Sawant, his makeup artist, was producing the film. Then he gave it a thought why was Amitabh Bachchan calling me? For 10-12 days, he was dazed because it was actually a dream of mine that he met Amitabh Bachchan and when he was standing in front of him, he was was only looking at him.
