Prime Minister made big announcements in France in the midst of his address to the Indian community at the La Seine Musicale, a performing arts centre on an island in river Sei.
An agreement has been entered into for the use of India’s UPI that will be start from the Eiffel Tower, which will facilitate Indian tourists to make payments in Rupees.
PM Modi also said that the Indian government has decided to open a new consulate in Marseille with the help of the French government. Indian students pursuing Masters in France will be given 5-year long term post-study visa.
Within a span of few weeks or months from now a statue of great Tamil philosopher Thiruvalluvar will be built in the Cergy Prefecture.
